Windows SmartScreen warning
The first time you run an internet-downloaded installer you may see a Windows SmartScreen prompt saying "Windows protected your PC". This is normal for a newly released app that has not built up a large reputation yet. Click More info → Run anyway to continue.
If you prefer, verify the installer's SHA-256 against the checksum listed on the download page before running it — this confirms you have the exact file that was published.
Installation fails partway
- Close other apps. Programs using locked files in the install location can interrupt the install. Close games, browsers and other software, then run the installer again.
- Run as administrator. Right-click the installer and choose Run as administrator so it can write everywhere it needs to.
- Check antivirus / endpoint protection. Some security suites quarantine new installers. Whitelist the Replayable installer (or check your quarantine) if a blocker is involved.
- Free disk space. The installer needs room for dependencies and the installed app. Confirm there is enough free space on the target drive.
- Restart before retrying. If an earlier attempt left files or services in a bad state, restart Windows and try again.
- Grab the installer log. The installer can write logs you can share with support to diagnose a specific error.
Uninstalling an incomplete install
If a failed attempt left Replayable in a broken state, uninstall it through Settings → Apps (or re-run the installer and choose repair/remove), then install fresh. Your saved replays in the replay folder are not touched.
